What to Expect
Set in the same location, overlooking the Nlharalumi riverbed, we will welcome our guests to our more ecologically sensitive camp with a lighter footprint. Building is well underway and the new design embodies the essence of Tanda Tula Safari Camp which will continue to connect our guests to the African wilderness through canvas.

Plains Camp
Tanda Tula Plains Camp, our home for the next year, is a spacious and welcoming homestead complemented by light-filled interiors and views in all directions. The interiors have been filled with Tanda Tula pieces and the central area offers a beautiful lounge, dining area and library all opening onto the deep verandah overlooking the rolling plains of the Timbavati and the mountains beyond.
Field Camp
Together, tracking big game on foot in the Timbavati, our highly trained trackers and guides reveal the tempos of the wild through their insight and skill. Field Camp is an exclusive use, off the grid camp nestled on the banks of the Ntsiri River.
Every game drive offers great gifts: presence, perspective, and the highest state of being – awe.
Our guides and trackers are storytellers of the wild — deeply intuitive, endlessly curious, and profoundly skilled.
Among them are two of South Africa’s rare Master Trackers. With sharp eyes, gentle hearts, and decades of experience, they read the land like their home language.
