What to Expect
Wildlife sightings at Wilderness Little Mombo are unparalleled. Encounter healthy populations of predators, sizeable elephant and buffalo herds and an abundance of ungulates. Close-up wildlife encounters in or near camp or at the hide are common, but nothing beats the thrill of out-of-camp game-viewing here – whether by vehicle or from a helicopter*.
The in-camp experience is just as fulfilling, with spa treatments, fitness facilities, a fascinating library and an inviting swimming pool shared with sister camp Wilderness Mombo. The hide is the ideal spot to while away the afternoon and let the wildlife come to you. Days end with tranquil evenings on the deck, and nights under the stars.
Like its bigger sister camp, the meals at Wilderness Little Mombo centre around fresh, local produce that’s delicious, and easy on the environment.
Highlights
The camp consists of three spectacular en-suite tents. Elevated and built below shady trees, the rooms have a tree house feel to them, with long, shaded private decks that allow you to truly make the most of the gorgeous views and nearby game. Inside the suites, each large, comfortable bed shares the same uninterrupted view. Each tent has an enormous bathroom complete with plenty of plush towels and an indoor and outdoor shower – perfect for feeling at one with nature.
Explore the Mombo Private Traversing Area with game drives revealing the rich wildlife of the locale, from predators to prey. This is a truly bountiful hunting ground for leopards, and large prides of lions.
