What to Expect
The camp is set in the Southern sector of Busanga plains offering an exceptional chance to photograph the iconic sable and roan antelope which prefer the area. Full day game drives are provided to explore the vast plains and to reach some of the other iconic destinations. Busanga Plains is famous for its concentration of predators, particularly the ‘swamp lions’, but the area also provides good chances for cheetah and leopard viewing. The birding in Busanga is world class as it hosts a wide diversity of habits and, in the peak of the dry season when water pools dry up, large concentrations of water birds can be found presenting ample photographic opportunities.
Highlights
The accommodation consists of thatched rooms – semi open classic Zambian chalets. With twin & double beds available. En-suite open-air bathrooms with traditional bucket showers, running cold water, flush toilets & eco-friendly amenities.
The minimum age is 12 years +. Children under 12 are however welcome with families through sole use of camp. No Wi-Fi or cellphone reception – as it should be in the bush! A central charging station is provided. Laundry is free of charge and is hand washed and air dried.
