What to Expect
Set along the tranquil banks of the Zambezi River, Chula Island Camp is an intimate tented retreat that blends the charm of a classic bush camp with modern comfort. With just five thoughtfully positioned tents hosting a maximum of ten guests, each suite offers sweeping river views and a sense of complete seclusion. Custom-designed for comfort, the tents feature premium linens, comfortable beds, flushing toilets, running water, and traditional bucket showers. The central lounge and dining area, set beneath a stretch-canvas tent among towering Natal Mahogany trees, is the perfect space to unwind, enjoy meals, recharge equipment, and watch wildlife pass by.
The Lower Zambezi National Park is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and exceptional wildlife encounters. As the dry season begins, large herds of elephants, buffalo, and impala gather along the riverbanks, while predators such as lions, leopards, and wild dogs are frequently seen.
Access to the Lower Zambezi has become increasingly convenient, with regular and flexible flights operating to and from Lusaka, making this remarkable destination more accessible than ever.
