Chicari Camp lies at the edge of a natural waterhole, attracting diverse wildlife and creating a breathtaking wilderness stage. This seasonal camp offers an authentic, immersive safari while remaining comfortable and sustainable. It operates entirely off-grid with a light footprint. With only ten canvas tents, Chicari feels intimate and personal. Guests enjoy privacy, yet always remain close to nature. The central lounge and dining area provide a shaded retreat, while evenings around the firepit invite connection under starry skies. Moreover, Chicari represents Gorongosa’s spirit of renewal.

Chicari Camp offers ten canvas tents, including eight Safari Tents and two Treehide Tents. Each is designed for comfort and connection.
Safari Tents: Feature cozy beds, private en-suite bathrooms, and panoramic views of the wildlife-rich pan. Amenities include solar-powered lighting, mosquito-netted windows, tea and coffee stations, and standing fans. Laundry service ensures added convenience.
Treehide Tents: Share a large deck at the base of a wooden hide, ideal for families or couples traveling together. Raised wooden walkways connect the camp, ensuring privacy and seamless flow. Thus, each guest remains close to nature without sacrificing comfort.
