When you book a holiday package that includes flights through African Sunrise Safaris & Safari Limited, based in the UK, you receive ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s Licence) protection. This is a crucial part of ensuring your travel investment is safe.
African Sunrise Safaris & Safari Limited (9739970), located at Granta Lodge, 73 Graham Road, Malvern, Worcestershire, UK, holds ATOL membership number 11153. In the unfortunate event of our insolvency, ATOL protection ensures you are not left at a financial loss or without assistance abroad.
What ATOL Covers
- ATOL is the UK’s financial protection scheme, backed by the UK Government, designed to protect you when booking a holiday with a UK ATOL holder.
- It covers charter flights and package holidays, providing support if your ATOL holder ceases trading.
- The scheme was updated in 2012 and 2018 to adapt to changes in the holiday market, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
Eligibility for ATOL Protection
Your holiday is protected under ATOL if you book a package with a single travel firm that includes:
- Flights and accommodation (including cruises),
- Flights and car hire, or
- Flights, accommodation, and car hire.
ATOL also covers some flight-only bookings, especially those where tickets are not issued immediately, such as charter flights, certain discounted scheduled flights, or when paying for flights in installments.
Note: ATOL does not apply to flights booked directly with scheduled airlines or through airline ticket agents.
