What to Expect
Lake Camp is the newest addition to Nanzhila Safaris, designed to perfectly complement the renowned Plains Camp experience. Set along the shores of Lake Itezhi-Tezhi in the southern reaches of Kafue National Park, the camp offers a fresh perspective on this diverse wilderness. Here, vast floodplains and open shorelines create a striking backdrop for wildlife encounters, while the presence of mega herbivores—elephant, buffalo, and hippo—is more prominent than on the plains, adding even greater depth to the Nanzhila experience.

Lake Camp features three intimate safari tents, each set beneath thatch and designed for comfort without compromising the authentic bush feel. Each tent includes a combined bedroom, dressing, and vanity area, along with an en-suite bathroom equipped with flushing toilets and hot water supplied by traditional donkey boilers.
Spacious, extended verandahs are a standout feature, offering panoramic views over the lake and surrounding plains. These private decks serve as your own personal game-viewing platform—perfect for soaking in the sights and sounds of the wild from the comfort of camp.
